Rajan Vaish

Rajan Vaish is a Senior Research Scientist at Snap Research. His current interest in human-computer interaction (HCI) spans designing novel augmented reality experiences and conducting social computing research. Before joining Snap Inc., Rajan was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Engineering at Stanford University, where he developed crowdsourcing systems for scaling open-ended complex goals. He has worked and collaborated with various groups at Microsoft Research Redmond and India, Palo Alto Research Center, Los Alamos National Lab, IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Accenture Technology Labs, Google SoC, OpenStreetMap, and One Laptop per Child. Rajan earned a MS and a PhD in Computer Science from UC Santa Cruz, and received the University of California Regents Fellowship. In addition to top academic conferences, Rajan's research has been featured in the MIT Tech Review, New Scientist, Stanford News, and Wired, among others.
