Lead Research Engineer
Leonardo is a Lead Research Engineer and manages the Computational Social Science team at Snap Research. His research is focused on Natural Language Processing, specifically in learning additional context to improve language understanding. Leonardo's recent works involve analyzing the language understanding and using the context to mitigate bias and minimize the impact of gender, race, age, and any other discriminatory features. Before joining Snap Inc., Leonardo worked for Pivotal Software Inc., Intel, and Yelp, and earned a Master’s in Intelligent Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University.
