Leonardo is a Lead Research Scientist and manages the Computational Social Science team at Snap Research. His research is focused on Natural Language Processing and Data Mining, specifically in learning additional context to improve language understanding.
Leonardo’s recent works involve integrating images and language for better meaning understanding, and using context to mitigate bias and minimize the impact of gender, race, age, and any other discriminatory features.
Before joining Snap Inc., Leonardo worked for Pivotal Software Inc., Intel, and Yelp, and earned a Master’s in Intelligent Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University.
